Crooks Lake Lodge is located
60 miles south east of Goose Bay, Labrador on the Upper Eagle
River Watershed. The lake is five miles long with rivers and streams full
of Big "Brookies" that run between 3 and 7 pounds. Trout as large
as 8 pounds are not uncommon. Large Northern Pike, up to 20 pounds, are
plentiful.
The main camp consists of a kitchen,dining and lounge area,
two bathrooms, three large bedrooms and a screened in sunporch. The indoor
bathrooms have shower facilities with plenty of hot water. Sleeping
quarters are equipped with comfortable beds and clean linen. Generated
electricity and refrigeration are also provided. Satellite telephone
communication is available. The camp is limited to six guests per week and
the emphasis is on personal attention. Boats and motors are provided with
one guide for every two fishermen.
