Our
Fishing Adventures start and end in Goose Bay, Labrador. Goose Bay can be reached by
commercial airline companies. We then fly you by float plane from Goose Bay to the camp.
Bring your
fishing equipment and personal gear only as everything else is supplied by
us.
Crook’s
Lake Lodge, on the Upper Eagle River, is located 60
miles (100 kilometers) southeast of Goose Bay, Labrador.
The rivers
and lakes are full of big "Brookies" that run between three and
seven pounds with eight pounds not uncommon.
Most
fishing is done in the rivers and streams with dry fly equipment. Light
spinning gear may be used with barbless hooks. Boats and motors are
supplied with one guide for every two fishermen.
We follow
a "catch and release" policy. However, should you choose to
retain one of your fish for a trophy mount, we will pack the fish suitable
for travel.
Our season
starts early June and ends late August.
The camp
is limited to six guests per week with an emphasis on personal attention.
The Lodge
houses a kitchen, dining room, lounge, and sleeping quarters (three double
bedrooms). It is equipped with two central washroom facilities, hot
showers, electricity, refrigeration, and satellite telephone communication.
