What to Bring

Clothing:

Warm Jacket

Cotton and Wool Shirts

Thermal Underwear

Sweater and/or Sweatshirts

Camp Shoes or Running Shoes

Good Rain Gear (that won’t tear easily)

Cap or Fishing Hat

Head Net or Bug Jacket

Light Gloves

Flyfishing Vest

Extra Wool and Cotton Socks

Waders (felt soles preferred)

Since weather in Labrador is unpredictable, you should bring warm and cold weather clothing.

You can expect warm days in the 70’s and cool nights in the 30’s.

Gear:

Fly Rod and a spare

Tapered Leaders – 4 through 8 lb test

Lines – weight forward, floating line and a second line, weight forward sinking tip

5 – 8 weight line sufficient for most conditions

Fly Patterns – wulffs, muddlers, nymphs, wooly buggers, humpies, mayflies, mice, caddis, various streamers

Hook Size – 8 to 16 (a few larger ones for variety)

Spin-cast Rod and Reel ( 6 – 10 lb test line)

Swivels (#5 brass swivel) and Steel Leaders for the Pike

Lures - Dare Devil type spoons, various colours

Miscellaneous:

Camera, polarized (amber) sunglasses, lots of fly dope or spray, sunscreen lotion, and chapstick.
